Things I realized while skiing today
1.Skiing is a decent hangover cure (according to my friend - I doubt I would even make it out of bed).
2. Little children skiing are ADORABLE (okay, not a new realization, but it was reinforced).
3. The next time we get a big snowstorm, I am skipping class the next day to go skiing.

This article is complete and utter bullshit. It’s good to know journalism means you can make assumptions about things when the real reasons are known and have actually been reported on. Also, to be clear, Revolutionary Road was terrible.
I hated this article too! It’s one thing to say your favorite performances were left out, but it’s quite another to blame it on sexism....

The good:
Recognition for The Reader, especially for Kate Winslet in Lead Actress
Plenty of nominations for Slumdog Millionaire
I’ve already seen 4 of the 5 Best Picture nominees (a point of personal pride)
The bad:
The Dark Knight got snubbed
Only 3 Best Songs nominated. AND NONE OF THEM ARE BY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. What the fuck? The Boss > The Academy

I dislike things that are illogical. Like Marxism. And Freudian analysis.
